Five Days and Counting!

So the conference is speedily approaching, and even as I write this post I smack my head and realise that most anyone who cares will soon be in the air and far from any internet connection. Whatever the case, there remains two working days till that certain plane arrives, and 60 hours to while away. I’ve wasted a bit of it looking at old conference pictures; here’s a few from Kakeka 2004.

Taken at the Enters’; 15+ people crammed into Steve’s little room, perhaps after a game of soccer even... lovely :)

Chaperone’s activity; the cardboard boat contest. We were the Green Gators’, pretty much the second from the bottom. Does anyone remember who the "fastest sinker" award was given to? ;)

And finally, the group picture; note the pernicious mullets. I’d love to post more (of the first Kakeka, for instance, or last year’s conference), but time and bandwidth do not allow me too. Here’s to a great Campfire 2006!

Ah! Only one more day until I leave and I still have to do so much... Finish packing, go work, take a shower, convince myself that airplanes aren't all that bad.

Brandy of course you are precious cargo! Ruth I too hope to meet you sometime on your next visit out here. I guess you have gotten to hear my voice and maybe a glace at my face by now on Mark's video of the fair. I truely hope he didn't film my dash to head off a runaway goat because in that case all you would have seen was my bum and that would not have been a flattering picture for sure! LOL Hope you all had a great conference.

It was great seeing you at the conference! Did you know that, Lord willing, it is less than a year till the next conference!) Hope to see you again.

BTW. The fastest sinking award was given to the Pink Flamingoes, we were really bad;)
